Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used and shared when you use
the Green Habit Guide mobile application (the “App”). Please read it carefully.
1. Controller and Contact Details
The App is provided by the individual developer responsible for Green Habit Guide.
For any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, you can contact:
Email: romalova@icloud.com
Website: greenhabbit.app
2. Information We Collect
Green Habit Guide is designed to store the minimum amount of personal data necessary to
provide its core habit‑tracking features. Depending on how you use the App, we may process
the following categories of information:
-
Habit and progress data: habits you create, check‑ins, streaks,
completion history, and basic settings associated with your routines.
-
Reminder preferences: local notification times and toggles configured
by you so the App can remind you about your habits.
-
Device information (limited): basic technical information such as
device model and operating system version, only as required for the App to function
correctly or for anonymous analytics (if enabled).
The App is primarily intended to store your habit information locally on your device.
Where optional cloud services or backup mechanisms are available, they may rely on Apple
services such as iCloud according to your system settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used for the following purposes:
- To create, manage and display your habits, streaks and progress statistics.
- To send local reminders and notifications that you have configured.
-
To improve stability and usability of the App, for example by understanding crashes or
technical issues (where such diagnostics are available).
-
To comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms where
applicable.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable data protection laws require a legal basis for processing, we rely on the
following:
-
Performance of a contract: to provide the core habit‑tracking features
of the App that you choose to use.
-
Legitimate interests: to maintain and improve the App, keep it secure,
and prevent abuse, provided that these interests are not overridden by your rights.
-
Consent: for optional features such as certain analytics or
notifications, where required by law or platform rules.
5. Storage, Sync and Third‑Party Services
Habit entries and related configuration are stored primarily on your device. Depending on
your iOS settings, Apple services such as iCloud may back up the App's data as part of your
general device backup. The developer of Green Habit Guide does not have direct access to
your personal habit entries stored on your device.
The App may integrate necessary third‑party services provided by Apple (for example,
notification services, in‑app purchase infrastructure, or crash reporting tools offered by
the platform). These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
Your habit information is retained on your device for as long as you keep it there. You can
delete habits or reset your progress at any time from within the App where such options are
available. Uninstalling the App from your device typically removes App‑specific data stored
locally on that device.
If you contact support by email, any personal data included in your message will be kept
for as long as it is necessary to respond to your request and maintain appropriate records.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared only in limited
circumstances:
- With service providers who help operate or support the App, under appropriate safeguards.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
-
In connection with a reorganization, merger or similar event, where the successor is
bound by privacy commitments that are materially consistent with this Policy.
8. Children’s Privacy
Green Habit Guide is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the App is intended
to be used by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under
13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so
that we can take appropriate action.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights related to your personal data,
such as the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your information.
You may also have the right to object to certain processing or to withdraw consent where
processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, you can contact the developer using the details in Section 1.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.
10. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to help protect your data against
accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security
cannot be guaranteed.
11. International Transfers
Depending on where you are located, your information may be processed in countries that may
have different data protection laws than your own. Where required by law, appropriate
safeguards are used to protect such transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the
App or to applicable laws. The “Last updated” date at the bottom of this page indicates
when the Policy was last revised. Your continued use of the App after any changes become
effective means that you accept the updated Policy.
